RESONANT DECOR

   Can I preview my artwork before ordering/printing?     Top ↑

Once you have uploaded your audio file, we will send you an image showing your raw waveform before we apply our unique design, add the colors you chose, and then format the image to your desired size. If you would like to view your Resonant Decor before it is printed, just let us know. We will give you one opportunity to have slight adjustments made to the waveform (for additional adjustments or changes to the color scheme, we request that you purchase Custom Colors for an additional $50).

We will never print an image that does not look good. If we wouldn't hang it on our walls, we don't expect you to, either.

   Does the picture move to sounds around it?     Top ↑

Resonant Decor are static images printed on canvas, made from any sound you choose. They will not respond to ambient noise.

   How long should my audio file be?     Top ↑

Any sound that is 1-second long, up to the recommended four (4) minutes long maximum, will be the best to use to create your Resonant Decor. Depending on the audio, a longer file may be used. Any of these lengths will fit on one canvas without being too small or too condensed.

More importantly than the length of your audio, is the amount of "noise" and the volume levels of all the parts contained in the audio. For example, a song with a lot of different instruments that are all at about the same volume will create a dense and thick waveform. A short spoken word recording most often creates the most dramatic waveform.

   Can I use a clip rather than a full song?     Top ↑

Yes! In fact, a song clip may create a better looking Resonant Decor than a full song. You can clip the audio you want to use, then send that to us, or you can tell us the start and stop time of the clip you want to use and we will clip the audio for you.

   Do I need to edit the audio/waveform first?     Top ↑

No. We can do all editing for you. All you need to do is send us the audio and we will edit it as you instruct us. Additionally, we will make adjustments to the audio, so that the waveform looks good. Even with any editing, the waveform you see on your Resonant Decor will be unique and only created from the sound you send us.

   Can I change my audio file after I have ordered?     Top ↑

As long as your artwork has not already been sent to be printed, then we can change the audio used to create your personal art. Note that this will slow down the time it takes for you to receive your artwork.

   What file types do you accept?     Top ↑

You can upload the following file types: .mp3, .m4a, .wma, .mov, .mpg, or .avi. Any of these types we can use. If possible, .mp3 is the best option.

   How large can my file be?     Top ↑

Your audio file can be up to 10MB.

   What is my personal Resonant Decor webpage?     Top ↑

For every Resonant Decor that you order, we create a personal webpage for that particular piece of artwork. This page contains a small image of your artwork, the (playable) audio used to create that piece, as well as place for you to easily discuss the artwork/sound right there on the page.

We can also include a personal message on this page. At any time from when you order to after you have received your artwork, we can update this page to include your personal message.

STELLAR DECOR

   What is Stellar Decor?     Top ↑

Stellar Decor are our artistic representation of the stars and planets at an exact time, date, and place, printed on canvas. You give us the time, date, and place and we find the correct alignment of the stars and planets, then apply your chosen colors and format the artwork to the size you desire.

   What date, time, and location can I use?     Top ↑

You may use any time, date, and place that you want to use. We suggest using a moment in your life that was significant. Examples of types of events you can use include, but are not limited to, when you (or someone else) was born, when you were married, your first kiss, graduation, retirement, etc.

   Can I use a future date?     Top ↑

Absolutely! We use scientific software that accurately calculates the position of the stars and planets above a certain location, whether past, present, or future.

   What does my personal info packet include?     Top ↑

Your digital personal information packet includes two raw images of your Stellar Decor. The first shows the stars and planets in your artwork, labeled so that you can find them on your Stellar Decor. The second image shows the labels and lines of the constellations contained in your artwork. Following these two images is fun facts about each of the constellations in your Stellar Decor.

ORDERING/SHIPPING

   What is a Digital Copy and what can I do with it?     Top ↑

A Digital Copy is a smaller, high-resolution photo of your personal artwork. You can use it to further personalize your surroundings by doing such things as: print it on a T-shirt, enrich your business card, personalize your smartphone or computer wallpaper, or use it any way you want! (Some restrictions do apply. See our Terms & Conditions.)

Add a digital copy to any order for only $30 (per piece of artwork).

   When will I receive my Digital Copy?     Top ↑

On the day that tracking information shows your artwork out for delivery, we will send you a link where you can download your Digital Copy.

   What are Custom Colors and how much do they cost?     Top ↑

Custom colors allow you to choose your own colors, outside of our 25 preset color combinations. Choose your own colors or even mix and match our color schemes. Approval on the final image will be gotten from you before we print your artwork. Custom Colors cost $50 for a single decor, $100 for a two-even Stellar Decor, and $200 for a four-event Stellar Decor.

   How long will it take to get my order?     Top ↑

Typically it takes two weeks (14 calendar days) to receive your artwork. During holidays and busy seasons it may take longer.

   Can I get my order faster?     Top ↑

Yes! By request, we can put a rush on your order. Usually we can do this at no additional charge to you (certain circumstances may require an additional charge).

   Where do you ship?     Top ↑

We can ship almost anywhere in the world. The main areas we ship to are the United States, Canada, and most of Western Europe. However, we can (and have) ship to other parts of the world, for an additional cost. If you want to know if we will ship to your area and/or what it will cost you, please Contact Us.

   How much does shipping cost?     Top ↑

In the continental United States, Canada, and Western Europe we charge $20 for shipping of the two smallest sizes 24" x 18" and 30" x 20". Shipping on all other sizes in these areas is FREE!

We can ship outside of these areas (including Alaska/Hawaii) for an additional cost. Contact Us for more information.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

   Will my Decor be ready to hang?     Top ↑

Yes! Your artwork will ship with mounting hardware attached. Simply open the package and put the artwork up on your wall. It's that easy!

   Do you do custom orders?     Top ↑

Absolutely! Before printing, both Stellar and Resonant Decor start out as digital images. This allows us great flexibility to transfer the image into or onto other mediums. Contact Us and we will happily work with you to create an even more personal work of art for you (price of a custom project will vary, based on all that is involved).

   Do you sell gift cards/certificates?     Top ↑

We will soon be able to sell gift certifcates. Gift certificates will start at $100 and increment up from there. Keep checking back to take advantage of this option. Or subscribe to our newsletter to be notified as soon as we start selling gift certificates.

   Can I cancel my order?     Top ↑

Yes, you may cancel your order. Depending on where your artwork is in the process, we may charge you a cancellation fee. In some instances, this cancellation fee we will allow you to apply toward a future order.

   Can I purchase a Digital Copy only?     Top ↑

If you have previously purchased a full artwork piece from us, we will be glad to sell you a Digital Copy of that artwork. Otherwise, we ask that you purchase a piece of artwork to receive a Digital Copy.

   How do you protect my personal information?     Top ↑

The only personal information we ever collect from you is your name, email address, and shipping address (plus phone number for international orders). Your billing and payment information we never see, since we use Paypal to process all orders. The information we do collect is kept in password protected files, on password protected computers. If you ever want us to delete your personal information, simply send us an email requesting your information to be deleted. We will do so promptly and send you confirmation of this action.
